This week Norwegian blues-roots-American Star JTLauritsen will be doing shows with me featuring songs his new CD “Blue Eyed Soul Volume 1”. These shows will also be his US/NYC area CD release party! If you haven’t seen NOTODDEN BLUES PRIZE winner and European Blues Challenge finalist JT Lauritsen yet, you will be in for a treat! These will be JT’s only US shows for the summer. With us will be the amazing Morten Nordskaug (who often plays bass with me when I’m in Norway) and Lee Jeffyres on drums. These shows are going to something you won’t want to miss.

Thursday May 10th, CLUB BONAFIDE 212 E 52nd St NY NY 9pm show! This is NYC’s coolest, hippest music venue located a few doors down from the 6 train and 3rd Ave.

Phew, the birthday week of shows is finished and its onto the next round of shows. This week I’m SOOOOO excited because Norwegian drummer Kåre Amundsen will be joining me here in NYC and I get to share his “amazingnous” with all my US friends!

This Friday April 27th I return for my once a month “residency” at STANHOPE HOUSE 45 Main St Stanhope NJ. Kåre Amundsen and Buddy Allen will be joining me as well as special guests Matt and Jon Klein. We will be in the small cabaret room for an intimate night of blues – rock and soul!

Some exciting news is coming of which I will be making an announcement soon!!

Hi Everyone!

Wow, it’s been a lot of traveling! I’ve been from Norway to Atlanta and NC. This week however I will be in the Tristate area with Three Big Birthday Shows.

This Thursday Apr 19th I will be starting the celebration at VICTORS 500 Commerce Ave Hawthorne NY with my fellow Aries Roger Z! Bring your axe!

Friday Apr 20th SALUGGI’S EAST 399 Grand St NY NY 10pm will be my official Dave Fields birthday bash featuring fellow Aries Robin Bacote and Kirsten Thein. I’m so excited to have with me Chris Stefanetti who was the bassist I played with all through my years at Berklee College of Music. The amazing Kenny Soule will also be with us! BRING YOUR AXE!

Saturday Apr 21st DADDY JACKS 181 Bank St New London CT 8:30pm will mark the end of the birthday week of shows. Kenny Soule and Chris Stefanetti will also be with me. Daddy Jack’s has the best brick oven pizza and is a down to earth blues joint. Chef Jack Chaplin will wow you with his cooking. You can taste the love in every bight!

Report From Norway West Coast Tour

Wow! The past week has been a whirlwind! Four shows in a row plus traveling!

My first show of this Norway West Coast Tour at Grå Bar was my show show ever in Trondheim Norway. Trondheim is beautiful city and visiting Nidaros Cathedral, which is the northern most cathedral in the world, was a powerful experience. I loved meeting so many new people from Trondheim.

Our next show was in Molde at Dockside. Its ALWAYS so much fun to play in Molde and the blues fans from Molde showed up en masse.

The next day we drove to play The Easter Blues Festival in Valldal. Wow…. Valldal is BREATH TAKING! I want to go back there one day soon!

Then on Easter we played at Smutthullet Pub in Ålesund (a 100 percent rock n roll club). I was so happy to see that on Easter Sunday blues fans from all over the Ålesund area and beyond came out. It was a BLAST!

Lastly, Morten Nordskaug who is playing bass with me has been outstanding and Kåre “Lefty” Amundsen has been a force to be reckoned with. I love playing with them and they will both be in the US in a few weeks.

I am so looking forward to this week when I return to the FJORDLINE Cruise and then a show for the first time ever in Sandefjord:

Hey!

Again, I’m writing you this email from my iPad here in snowy Norway and with Europe gripped in the icy claws of a cold spell, it’s EXTRA cold here! By the time some of you are reading this I will be on the plane headed back to NYC. Even though the past two weeks were absolutely amazing I’m glad to be coming home.

Wow…… the shows we did at SINUS in Bodø Norway and LYSTGAARD RESTAURANT Skjerstad Norway were amazing if I do say so myself. Bassist Trond Hansen and drummer Kåre “Lefty” Amundsen were thunderous. I have to send a special shout out to Kåre Amundsen, wow…. he’s was THUNDEROUS! He will be in the US with me for my upcoming shows April 27th – May 6th. You have to check him out!
